What IS a Barefoot Women’s Circle?

Each week, we’ll gather in my living room by my warm and cozy fireplace with tea and coffee and a little nibble. (or if summer comes early and we get some warmer weather, possibly outside!)

I’m keeping it intentionally small
(8 women max).

Together, we’ll explore a rotating theme through a mix of:

  • Guided writing prompts

  • Poetry and readings

  • Centering meditations

  • Thoughtful discussion questions

  • Small breakout conversations

  • Lots of right-brained, creative activities (think: collaging, watercoloring, playing)

There’s no teaching or coaching happening here, no one has it all figured out. This is simply a circle of women who want to slow down, connect, and be intentional together. (That togetherness is really the magic sauce!)

“When Meagan sent out an invite to join her Women's Circle, I was scared by the thought of it- other women who might live near me getting to know alllll about me? I thought it might be an intimacy bridge too far. It was just after the New Year, I was feeling a little brave, and also pretty disconnected, so I signed up. Each session has been a jewel in my week! Meagan's enthusiasm for bringing women into authentic connection in these Circles is contagious and invites me out of any shyness I may have arrived with. She's a gracious, generous and laid-back host. She knows just when to lead and when to listen, making plenty of space for us to contribute.  The experience of listening, reflecting and creating together with Meagan has been deeply restorative and I wholeheartedly recommend you sign up as quick as you can. “

Okay, I’m IN!

If you’re ready to jump into this Barefoot Writing Circle, nab your spot now (only 8 available!)

For the Barefoot Curious …

  • By joining, you’re committing to being present for most—if not all—of the six weeks (barring unforeseen circumstances, of course). That shared commitment is what allows trust to build so that we can go deep with our conversations and feel truly safe. This isn’t drop-in energy, we’re a group, and we need you!

  • So many things.

    • Thoughtfully curated prompts designed to inspire deeper connections and honest conversation centered on living an intentional life—and what that truly looks like for you

    • New friendships and fresh perspectives that hopefully spark a-ha moments and open new ways of looking at the world with wonder and hope (yes, even in these times we’re living!)

    • Dedicated weekly time just for you—to reflect on and reconnect with what matters most

    • Gentle invitations that encourage bravery, presence, and meaningful connection—both on the page and in real life.

  • ✔️ You’d like to experience writing in a group setting that is both safe and encouraging

✔️ You’re craving conversation that goes deeper than small talk

✔️ You want space to reflect on who you are and what you want in 2026

✔️ You are open to meeting women who share the desire to gather, connect and create in community

  • Not at all. (Though I tend to believe that if you’ve got a pen, paper, and a few words to scribble down, you’re already a writer.) So don’t let the name scare you off.

These prompts are meant to spark reflection, self-compassion, and insight. If something you write here eventually makes its way into a blog post, newsletter, or op-ed—amazing. But we won’t be critiquing or workshopping the writing.

There’s no teaching or coaching here, and no one pretending to have all the answers. Just a circle of women slowing down, connecting, and showing up with intention. The real magic is simply doing it together.

And yes, you can be barefoot, for sure!

  • Showering? Nah, don’t bother.
Dressing up? No way, sweats and yoga pants encouraged.
Business cards? Nope, it’s not about networking.
Coffee? Yes! I’ll have plenty of it, and tea and a nibble or two.
Supplies? I got you, just bring yourself, your bare feet, and maybe some slippers.

  • Dates: Thursdays  from April 16 – May 21
    Time
    : 9:00–11:00 am
Location: My home on the East Side of Milwaukee (address provided upon registration)
    Cost: $195

Okay, I’m definitely IN!

Let’s GO! I can’t wait to welcome you!
